Screen Prints - PRESSING INSTRUCTIONS
These are the pressing instructions for ALL our screen prints. You can look on your packing slip to see which type of screen print then press according to the instructions.
IMPORTANT: The MOST important part of pressing ANY screen print is PRESSURE. You must have HEAVY, HEAVY, even pressure. Your press should be almost impossible to open and close.
YOU CANNOT USE AN IRON OR CRICUT EASY OR HTVRONT PRESS.
SINGLE COLOR INSTRUCTIONS:
- TEMP: 325 DEGREES F
- TIME: 7-10 SECONDS
- PRESSURE: HEAVY
- PEEL: HOT/IMMEDIATELY
SOFT LOW HEAT FOR FULL COLOR (THESE FEEL SLIGHTLY GRITTY ON THE INK SIDE)
HIGH HEAT INSTRUCTIONS: THESE ARE OUR OLDER FULL COLOR PRINTS. THEY WILL FEEL SMOOTH ON THE BACK INSTEAD OF GRAINY/GRITTY.
High heat screen prints can be temperamental and require a good working knowledge of your press, screen prints and pressing. EXTREMELY HIGH PRESSURE IS THE KEY!
- Set Heat Press to 350-375 (You will need to find your "sweet spot")
- Start with a lower temp and increase if needed
- HIGH PRESSURE (HIGH AS THE PRESS WILL GO AND STILL OPEN/CLOSE)
- Pre-Press for 3-5 seconds to remove moisture
- PRESS FOR 7-10 SECONDS
- HOT PEEL GENTLY. (IF IT DOES NOT ADHERE, PRESS FOR 2-3 SECONDS MORE)
GLITTER:
- TEMP: 365 DEGREES
- TIME: 15 SECONDS
- PRESSURE: FIRM
- PEEL: COLD PEEL: Allow to cool completely to the touch. (This may take several minutes to cool completely.) Peel the carrier in a smooth, even motion.
PUFF INK INSTRUCTIONS:
Please follow instructions closely. The puff ink is a bit finicky.
